Welcome back to Wilderings, with our first episode on the art of writing itself. I say first episode, because I feel like we've barely plunged beneath the surface of this pretty big topic!
My guests for this episode are Kay Wyatt and Elizabeth Daly.
Kay Wyatt is the pseudonym of one of the plucky Admin team members who host the Facebook Group, ‘The Writing Warriors.’ She has a day job, but spends her evenings writing and editing. She has spent the last six years studying the craft of storytelling and how to write great prose. Her current project is an urban fantasy series featuring witches and a variety of other strange creatures. In the Fall, one of her short stories will debut in Grim Faebles: A Fairy Horror Anthology. Kay lives with her husband of twenty-five years and three teenagers in the heart of the North American Midwest.

Elizabeth Daly is an Irish writer who hashad stories in her head since she was a toddler. Living in the west of Ireland, she has been scribbling on the back of copybooks all her life. For her, writing is a way to share thoseemotions, experiences and concepts that are rarely talked about in real life, but many have known. All wrapped up in a good story, of course.
Her fantasy adventure book, Legacy Bound,was published in 2023 and her short story will soon be featured in Grim Faebles: A Fairy Horror Anthology later this year.
